Glock 101

Glock G17 9mm Luger 4.49in Black Nitrite Pistol - 10+1 Rounds - Glock G17 is trusted by law enforcement officers around the world for its outstanding reliability and light weight. With the revolutionary "Safe Action" trigger system, the Glock G17 pistol is safe, easy and quick - exactly what is needed in high-pressure situations. Gaston Glock, an Austrian engineer and businessman founded GLOCK Ges.m.b.H in 1963 and started producing his first knife and machine gun link belts in the 70s. After the successful introduction of knives Glock and belt loop, Gaston Glock created the first Glock semi-automatic pistol in 1982.

Glock realized that the Austrian army needed to be armed with a service pistol that could be ready at any time. With this in mind, he created his patented Safe Action pistol design. 3-safe inside, Glock is built to fire quickly and is controlled to prevent police or soldiers from accidentally discharging bullets.

Gaston Glock was instrumental in changing the entire gun industry with its incredible engineering and design team. When the Austrian government requested a lighter pistol with a higher magazine capacity, Glock immediately set to work and created the Glock 17.

In 1984, the Glock 17 passed every NATO test with the highest scores for durability, simplicity, and reliability. Soon after the Norwegian military adopted the Glock 17 as their standard service pistol, the rest of the world caught up, making the Glock the most famous pistol in the world.

The Glock 17 is the pistol that started it all for striker-fired pistols on the US market. 17 was originally designed for law enforcement officers (LEOs) who needed a secondary weapon with greater capacity while maintaining control and accuracy. At over 8 inches long and 5.47 inches tall, it is unlikely to be carried as a concealed carry weapon (CCW). Still, it's perfect for an open carry scenario and has the flexibility to carry up to 33 rounds in a magazine. To learn more about Glock 17, read our "Glock 17 | Glock 17 Complete Guide".

The Glock 19 is one of the best-selling pistols in the world thanks to its durability, performance, and concealed carry. When the Glock 19 Gen 5 pistol was launched, many turned to the new feel with more than 20 different Gen 4 modifications, including the removal of the finger grooves in the stock. If you want to learn all you can about the Glock 19, read our "Glock 19 Review".

The Glock 20 is the perfect companion for your next outdoor adventure or hunting in the major states of Montana, Wyoming, Washington, and Alaska. These states all have large predators, such as wolves, grizzly bears, and mountain lions, and will need a larger caliber bullet to penetrate their thick skin and skin. The 10mm pistol will give you tremendous power to stop an oncoming bear or mountain lion.

The Glock 20 is a compromise between the Glock 29 and the Glock 40 as it is larger than the CCW (Glock 29) and smaller than the full-size Glock 40. The Glock 20 feels like the Glock 17 but is slightly wider and heavier to accommodate heavier and larger 10mm rounds.

Glock 26 is also known as "Baby Glock" due to its small size and is sold in 3 different generations, from Gen 3-Gen5. The Glock 26 fires a 9mm Luger cartridge for quick and accurate shots when you need them most. I recommend the Glock 26 to police officers who carry a Glock 19 or Glock 22 as their service pistol.

26 can be easily worn on your ankle for seamless switching between your primary and backup carry pistol. If you want to learn more about the Glock 26, read our "Glock 26 | Baby Glock" Review.

The Glock 29 is a concealed bearing model of the Glock pistol with a 10 mm caliber. You can still use this pistol as your primary CCW, but it has a lot of kicks and muzzle flips due to the power of the 10mm bullet. As for using this gun as your secondary shotgun, I would probably just go with the Glock 20 or the Glock 40 for more size and less recoil.

You don't want to try when a charging bear is coming your way. I'm not saying this gun isn't worth it, but you'll need a lot of practice with it before you need to take it into the woods of Alaska or Montana.

The Glock 30 is one of the few Glocks fitted in .45 Auto for more power and stopping range. At just under 7 inches long, this .45 Auto pistol stands a good chance of being used as a CCW or as an open carry for LEO. However, I personally don't shoot .45 Auto very well, so I don't use them very often. I recommend this pistol for larger shooters or those with more experience because the recoil feels much better than any 9mm you will shoot. The Glock 31 was created as an answer to the problem of police officers needing more power than 9mm without sacrificing too much accuracy and sense of recoil. The .357 Sig is essentially a .40 S&W bullet clamped to a 9mm case that has a very close strength to the .357 Magnum.

The perceived recoil of the .357 Sig is much closer to the .40 S&W than the 9mm or .357 Magnum. The additional power of the .357 Sig increases muzzle flip and sense of recoil, but many officers prefer the accuracy and range of the .357 Sig above 9mm. To learn more about Glock 31, read "Glock 31 vs Glock 32 | The Definitive Guide to Glock's .357 Vision".

The Glock 32 is the CCW model of the .357 Sig for Glock. This pistol gives you the power of a .357 Magnum, about the size of a 9mm case. The Glock 32 is almost half an inch shorter in length and height to avoid any pressure on your shirt or clothing while wearing. It makes a great secondary pistol for LEO or a great EDC for anyone who wants a little more power than the 9mm. One thing to keep in mind is that the price of .357 Sig ammo can be very high and sometimes even harder to find.

The Glock 34 is about the size of a 9mm pistol anywhere on the market. While this pistol is much larger than the Glock 17, 19 and 43, it has amazing accuracy and very little recoil. This rifle has the longest line of sight of any 9mm pistol and delivers up to 50 yards more accuracy than the Glock 17 and 19 (excluding the Glock 17L).

The MOS function allows you to add an optical at the top for faster target acquisition and better versatility in low light. To learn more about the Glock 34 MOS, read our "Glock 34 Gen 5 MOS | Full Review".

The Glock 35 is a competition-style pistol created for competitors in competitions by the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA), the National Rifle Association (NRA), and the National Defense Pistol Association. economy (IDPA). The Glock 35 (G35) is built with an extremely light polymer frame, with an extra long slide to increase the line of sight for increased accuracy at longer distances.

On the slide there is a cutout to expose the top of the barrel to reduce the weight of the gun. All the other Glocks we've reviewed are 9mm pistols, and as we all know, the .40mm S&W produces more kicks than any 9mm. With that in mind, the most impressive feature of this rifle is its pinpoint accuracy
